Clarify data ownership, access permissions, backups, export, offline behaviour, and the error-correction process. Check whether an equipment or software provider can be replaced without losing the historical record.

Scale only after the team can run the process reliably in a limited area and understands the support cost. Expanding the footprint should not be the way a basic hypothesis is tested.

Form a working group with the process owner, a future user, and a technical specialist. Document the problem, available data, constraints, and a stop criterion for the pilot. Only then select the architecture and first-version scope.
